All Souls Chapel, Cape Town, South Africa

The All Souls Chapel, located in Maitland Cemetery, Cape Town, is a Gothic Revival structure built in the late 19th century. Known for its pointed arches, intricate stonework, and stained-glass windows, it serves as a sacred space for funeral services and memorials. The cemetery is a multi-faith burial ground, reflecting Cape Town’s diverse religious and cultural backgrounds. The chapel remains significant in the community, hosting commemorations and reflecting on its rich history. The stained-glass windows were removed because of issues with vagrancy.

The chapel was scanned in July 2024 with a Z+F 5016 terrestrial laser scanner and photographed with a Canon R5, consisting of 41 HDR scans and 2500 photos. No drone was used.
