The jug, dated between 570 and 530 BC, was in the surroundings of Miletus in Western Asia Minor, where it was also produced. The jug has a trefoil-shaped rim which is connected via an up-lifted handle with the body of the vessel. The neck an lower body of the vessel show geometric patterns like a meander and parallel strokes. The middle part of the body shows a circumferential frieze with a dog, a rabbit and a bird. The jug was produced in a workshop in eastern Greece.
